Q: Do you like blogging?

I’m not much into the blogging thing. It has it’s benefits, but I prefer building websites. As a matter of fact, this blog is really so I can write what I can’t put on my website.

Q: What website?

The website I’m speaking of is Islamic Learning Materials. I created this website to help people understand more about the basics of Muslim beliefs from a non-sectarian point of view, and also to talk about one of my favorite subjects, Islamic history.

Q: How’s the website doing?

So far, I really like the way the website has gone. But, like I said, I just can’t write everything I want to write on a website. When I build a page on a website, I have to worry about graphics, SEO, marketing, and many other things. But with a blog, whenever I feel like writing something about Islam, I can sit down and write away.

Okay. So I guess I am getting more into this blogging thing.

Q: What’s with the bird?

That is a picture of the Northern Flicker, also known in the U.S. as the Yellowhammer. The yellowhammer is the state bird of Alabama, where I was born.
